A standards-based assessment program provides information
about the critical educational goals to a variety of audiences,
students, teachers and parents, but also the school, the
district, and the state. No one type of assessment tool
can meet all of the needs for information or demonstrate
the attainment of the Alaska content standards.

will help teachers find different classroom-based assessments
that can clarify and guide instructional decisions.
