The Alaska Content Science Standards have been revised and adopted by the Alaska State School Board in 2003. The seven content standards, now aligned to the National Science Standards, include important regional and cultural ideas unique to Alaska.

The performance/achievement standards are being developed to match the new content standards. They are expected to be adopted by the Alaska State School Board by the summer of 2004.
