Students produce a documentary on a member of their community who lives with a disease/illness or food allergy, and experience through this individual what it is like to live with a medical condition day to day. Through research, interviewing techniques, and multimedia, students (in small groups) will create PowerPoint presentations documenting the human perspective as well as the scientific basis (cause, effect(s), treatment, to name a few), of the disease/illness in front of a panel of professionals (medical, educational) and peers.
