3070 - Weapon-related

Definition
Any of those involved in the incident were in the possession of or used a weapon during the incident or the incident was somehow related to possession, use, or sale of weapons. Do not use this code if the main offense during the incident is possession, use, or sale of weapons. In that case, report as weapons possession (use code 3700 in Appendix P). Also code the type of weapon used under data element, "Weapon Type" (see Appendix O).
