National School Boards Association (NCLA) - This site includes an overview of NCLB for school board members and features the latest information from the U.S. Department of Education--including Final Regulations on the Title I, Paraprofessionals, School Choice, and Adequate Yearly Progress.
Council of Chief State School Officers - This site is an excellent resource for implementing NCLB at state and local levels.
The Council of Great City Schools (CGCS), in conjunction with the Manpower Demonstration Research Corporation (MDRC), released a report in Sept. 2002 entitled "Foundations for Success: Case Studies of How Urban School Systems Improve Student Achievement."
The Annenberg Institute for School Reform recently came out with " School Communities that Work for Results and Equity: A Portfolio for District Redesign."
The Learning First Alliance features many links to useful NCLB information. This organization will release a study in Feb. 2003 entitled, "Improving Achievement, Building Instructional Capacity: A Study of Instructional Reform in Five Improving, High-Poverty School Districts."
Thomas B. Fordham Foundation - "No Child Left Behind: What Will it Take?"
Teacher Quality was the focus of a recent forum held by the Alliance for Excellent Education. They have produced three reports that describe the nature of the qualified-teacher shortage and strategies for addressing the problem.
The Alliance for Excellent Education has produced a report entitled, "Every Child a Graduate: A Framework for an Excellent Education for all Middle and High School Students."
