Endowment
The Alaska State Council on the Arts solicits and encourages gifts
of private funds to augment resources available to support the arts
in Alaska.
Memorial endowments were established by the families of two
Alaskan arts advocates, Connie Boochever and Margaret Nick Cooke.
The Connie Boochever Endowment for the Arts will enhance arts
education, and the performing and visual arts in Alaska through annual
awards to
artists and arts organizations. The Boochever Fellowship accepts applications every
two years, and the next deadline will probably be in 2007.
The Margaret Nick Cooke Memorial Fund was established to support Alaska
Native art and language.
Gifts to either fund can be made to the Alaska State Council on the
Arts.
